And regarding this years theme:

I love this theme, Mending Our Web; Think it to be [a] very wise and intelligent concept, hope and use of words to convey our (WEFers) true pursuit.

Kathy and I had a lovely conversation yesterday at Delta Venus (where we were blessed with the music, words and energy of Dianne Patterson and Warren Jones - as I unexpectedly came to be there). We (Kathy and I) agreed and she sparked my lifelong passion and concern relating to the treatment of the indigenous and Native people of our country …. We thought, and spoke of, how this year’s theme so related to the ongoing fact- that we (the people of the United States of America’s) have something to mend….

I shared with her my belief that – in order to get to ‘the roots’ of what needs mending (in our people and in our country) -we need to go back to the beginning – and heal (or at least present reality to – and do what we presently can to remedy the situation) – relating to the foundation of our nation. It did not begin with white man, cooperate America and the addiction to oil to promote ourselves or our land (country), it began with PEOPLE – and those people have been persecuted and their cultures condemned and tis time for us to (more loudly and fully) acknowledge that and lay down a plan (come forth) of true resolution.
We must Mend Our Web (the U.S.A) in order to move forth as the Great Nation we (the people) are.

May we pursue and be diligent therein, of this endeavor.

THANK YOU WEFers for being a huge part of bringing together a space for thousands –of diverse, multi culture and spiritual religions - of people together. Truly a wonderful thing! I am so thankful.
